The MB planetary friction type continuously variable speed reducer has proven its unique style through years of practical application. Due to its reasonable design, easy operation, and stable transmission, this series is widely used in industries such as food machinery, printing, paper machinery, rubber, plastic machinery, ceramics, pharmaceutical machinery, and various production lines.
Working Principle
The reducer mainly consists of a pressed driving wheel device, friction transmission mechanism, and speed control mechanism.
1. High Strength: Reliable performance under impact loads or reverse rotation, ensuring precise and durable operation.
2. Wide Speed Range: Speed ratio of 1:5, with output speeds ranging from 1:45 to 1:7.25.
3. High Speed Adjustment Accuracy: Speed adjustment precision ranges from 0.5 to 1 rotation.
4. Stable Performance: All transmission components undergo special heat treatment and precision machining, ensuring smooth operation, low noise, and long service life.
5. Coaxial Structure: Input and output shafts rotate in the same direction, providing compact size and lightweight design.
6. Strong Combination Capability: Can be combined with various types of reducers for low-speed, high-torque applications.
7. Constant Speed Under Load: Maintains set speed within allowable load limits.
8. **Fully Sealed**: Suitable for humid, dusty, and mildly corrosive environments.
Performance Features
1. High Speed Adjustment Accuracy: Precision between 0.5 and 1 rotation.
2. Wide Speed Range: Speed ratio \( R_b = 5 \).
3. Stable Operation: All components are strictly processed, ground, and well-lubricated, ensuring smooth operation, low noise, and long life.
4. Strong Adaptability: Can be combined with gear reducers, cycloidal reducers, worm reducers, and geared motors for enhanced torque and variable output speeds in different applications.
5. Variable Torque and Power: Output torque and power vary with output speed, featuring variable torque and power characteristics.
Technical Parameters
Power: 0.18 kW to 7.5 kW
Torque: 1.5 N·m to 2062 N·m
Speed Range
1. Basic Type: 200-1000 r/min
2. With Single-Stage Gear Reduction (i = 2.5-5): 40-200 r/min
3. With Two-Stage Gear Reduction (i = 7.1-25): 8-140 r/min
4. With Three-Stage Gear Reduction (i = 42-100): 2-23.5 r/min
Installation, Usage, and Lubrication
1. Installation
- When attaching couplings, pulleys, or sprockets to the output shaft, avoid heavy impacts. Use the threaded hole at the shaft end to insert a screw and press in the connection part.
- For base-mounted installations, align the machine’s centerline and ensure the transmission shaft’s coaxiality is within the permissible coupling range.
- Vertical MB reducers can be installed at any angle, with oil levels above the higher side’s oil gauge centerline.
2. Usage
- Add the specified lubricant to both the reducer and speed variator before use.
- Operating temperature should not exceed 40°C, with oil temperature remaining below 70°C. Initial high temperatures during the first 80 hours of operation will stabilize at 20°C-25°C above ambient temperature.
- Adjust speed only while the machine is running to avoid part damage.
- Speed limiter screws are preset; do not adjust them arbitrarily.
- Do not exceed the rated torque (T).
- Suitable for forward and reverse operations.
- Retain the original motor flange with an oil seal to prevent oil from entering the motor when replacing it.
3. Lubrication
- Use Ub-1 or Ub-3 traction fluid, ensuring the correct level per the oil gauge. Replace after 500 hours, then every 1000 hours initially, and every 2000 hours thereafter.
- The primary gear section uses molybdenum disulfide grease, pre-filled at the factory, and should be replaced every 12-18 months.
